Off Leash Playing
I am so proud of my boy, Tug. Wednesday we went for a romp in the snow. Both Tug and Nash spent a majority of the time off leash exploring the woods and playing. Every time I called or whistled, Tug would come running back (this is expected of Nash). He would also turn around and wait for me to catch up if he felt he got too far away from me. I'm so proud at 2 yrs old, Tug can play off leash and not go running off! :-)

Merry Christmas!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday! Tug and I are looking forward to all the adventures we will have together in 2013. First though is getting this fractured premolar out! He's scheduled for Wednesday 12/26 to have it removed but we are supposed to have some heavy snow come through so we may have to reschedule it. I hope not though - I just want to have this done with so that I don't have to worry about it causing infection or pain.

Tug Update
This past weekend was a little rough for Tug. We showed at the Central Ohio Cluster Shows. We went in with fingers crossed for a second major points win. But it was not to be. Tug was absolutely terrified of the loud speaker used for announcements. Every time they made an announcement on Saturday, Tug jumped up and grabbed my hip with this front paws. Sunday, he started shaking as soon as we entered the building. He did show a little better on the ramp on Sunday - wasn't a squirmy for the judge's exam. We are probably done showing for the year as Tug decided to start blowing his coat for the first time on Friday. I'm guessing he won't have his coat back until after the beginning of the year. Our next show will either be in March in Louisville or April in Columbus again.
Everyday with Tug is an adventure! We have been hiking several times this fall. Our favorite place to go is down in the Hocking Hills State Forest. The last hike we did was a bit harder with more climbing and scrambling up rocks and steep hills. Tug and Nash had a absolute blast! There are pictures on his Facebook page - The Fuzz.
We hope everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving!!

Tug gets a major!!
A lot has happened since I last posted. Tug has continued to have fun in agility class - probably no trials until winter.
We are also still having fun showing in conformation. On August 25, Tug got his first major win (3pts)! He now has a total of 6 pts towards his championship :-)
Seeing that today was the first game day for The Ohio State Buckeyes, Tug wanted to show his Buckeye pride ;-)

Being Tug
Tug has been having a lot of fun - then again Tug always has fun. He tried raw beef for the first time last week. I gave all the dogs raw beef bones. Poor Tug had some GI issues so probably no more beef bones. Maybe we will have to try something else. On the upside, Tug is no longer guarding valuable objects (he did as a puppy). He is the only one that backed away from the bone when I walked over. So proud of him!!!!
Tug and I traveled to Madison OH for a show last weekend. It was fairly hot but Tug showed the best he's ever shown. He got first in his class of 3 but didn't get winners dog :-( Oh well... Our next show is up i Chargrin Falls and then I think we are going to head down to Lexington for a show. It will be our first time down there!

Long time no write!
Wow! I can believe it has been so long since i posted! Tug is doing great! Hes my little shadow most of the time, he always has to know where mom is! Jon and I went on vacation mid-may, Tug and Espresso stayed at w friends boarding kennel on a farm while Nash stayed with my parents (Nash loves my parents' Sheltie girl). Tug was so excited when we came to pick them up, you would think that i had been gone for years not 10 days!
We haven't done much showing yet this year. We went up to Lima last weekend. Tug did okay in the ring, still a little bad at around the ring stuff. He came home with Winners Dog and Best of Winners though.
It been soo hot here. It was over 100 today! Tug has been playing in the pool a lot. He loves it but I think between him and Nash we are going to need a new kiddie pool by the end of the year!
I don't have any pictures of Tug on my tablet - I'll post soem when I am back on my regular laptop :-)
